The Deutsche Bundesbank, the German Science Foundation (DFG), and the International Monetary Fund are organizing a joint workshop to discuss the role of credit frictions for the macroeconomy and lessons for economic policy. Topics of particular interest include:
• Credit frictions and house price developments
• The role of credit markets for business cycle dynamics
• Fiscal policy and sovereign default
• Credit frictions and monetary policy

The workshop will be held on June 4, 2014 at the Bundesbank Training Centre in Eltville, Germany. On the following two days (June 5/6) the Deutsche Bundesbank, the DFG Priority Program and the IMF will hold a joint conference on „Housing markes and the macroeconomy“.
